Meet the speaker

Ari Gordon

Ari Gordon is currently a PhD candidate in Islamic studies at the University of Pennsylvania, where he researches the history of Islamic ritual, sacred geography and Muslim-Jewish relations. He also serves as American Jewish Committee's (AJC) special advisor for Interreligious and Intergroup Relations and, from 2005-2008, was the department's assistant director.  Ari lectures regularly for international and American groups about Judaism and other religions and serves as a member of the research team of the International Council of Christians and Jews
