e-TiM: Exodus: The Ins and Outs of Freedom

This ten-part series will take place on Tuesdays at 11:00am Eastern (6:00pm in Israel) from February 15 to April 12

The book of Shemot follows the Israelites as they transform from an oppressed group of nameless slaves to a nation free and purposeful enough to form a covenant with God Himself. But what makes this transformation possible? And is it strong enough to withstand the challenges ahead? This course explores the different distinct experiences and trials that prepare the Israelites for the burdens of freedom, even as they introduce different strands of liberation into their social and private lives.

Rachel Sharansky Danziger

Rachel Sharansky Danziger grew up in Jerusalem, where she completed degrees in philosophy and history and taught Tanach to new immigrants. Her MA focused on the way 18th century American protoevangelicals told their personal stories, and what their stories tell us about their experiences of emotions and self. Rachel continues to explore connections between stories, religion, and emotions as an educator and a blogger and her work can be found on The Times of Israel, 929, and other online venues.
